Meet the trainer

It is easy to get a little lost on social media and sort through all the differing opinions on how you should interact with and train your dog. Bringing a new puppy home is such an exciting time, and you want the world for your dog - perfect obedience, fun tricks, no potty accidents, wonderfully socialized. Where to start is always the hardest part and that’s what Herm’s Hounds is dedicated to.

Andrew Hermansen, our lead master dog trainer, started his pursuit of professional training when faced with these questions himself. Despite graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Economics from the University of Utah, these questions captured the heart and soul of what Andrew wanted to accomplish. Setting all else aside, he began his journey in 2024 where he attended and graduated from the prestigious Tom Rose School for Professional Dog Trainers as a Certified Master Dog Trainer.

Andrew’s vision remains the same as when he started: whatever you need from your dog - he wants to help you accomplish it. He is committed to helping you parter with your canine companion to do amazing things!
